The Experience : They call the Otter African Trail Marathon the ‘ Grail of Trail ,’ as it is considered one of the top-most bucket list races on the South African trail running calendar . They also say you need to bring your climbing shoes … because the Otter Trail features some 7000 steps , in one form or another . It ’ s a tough , technical run , but one of the most scenic in the world !
