The Experience : When the violent taxi strikes in the Mother City forced the cancellation of the Totalsports Women ’ s Race Cape Town , just a day before the scheduled race date on Women ’ s Day , 9 August , the organisers were determined to get the race back on the calendar when it was once again safe . And so , on 1 October , thousands of women ( and some men ) donned their pink race shirts and enjoyed a belated celebration of Women ’ s Month with a fun run !
