The Experience : The last race in the 2023 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series saw thousands upon thousands of runners and walkers take to the streets of Jozi and literally turn the M1 elevated highway into a sea of red . Up front , both course records fell as Lesotho ’ s Namakoe Nkhasi took the men ’ s title in 29:07 , while Ethiopia ’ s Debash Desta emerged triumphant in the women ’ s race in 33:03 . Behind the elite athletes , the more social runners enjoyed the many activations and vibe points along the route , and helped turn this into a running party from start to finish .
