In contrast , the half marathon and 10km races were an all-South African affair , with the 21km titles going to David Manja ( 1:07:35 ) and Lebo Phalula ( 1:21:46 ), and the 10km line honours being claimed by Mathews Leeto ( 30:15 ) and Cacisile Sosibo ( 35:14 ). All three races were exciting as the athletes needed to use both strength and tactics to do well on what is always a challenging Soweto course .
