ROAD RUNNING

With a Little Help from Friends

After initially trying to run a full marathon a day , Rupert soon turned to doing two or even three shorter runs a day to make up the required daily marathon mileage , and thus drove all over Pretoria and Joburg to join various club runs , as well as joining others while travelling

around the country for work or with his family .
He says it made doing the runs so much easier as he had company to pass the kilometres with , and it also tended to slow him down a bit , thus conserving energy and reducing the wear and tear on his body .
It also gave him an opportunity to spread the word of his Project Run-a-1000 challenge , and motivate others to support his drive to raise funds for the Brain Chid Fund . These pics were all taken at various club runs , with Rupert always making sure to take his phone along to document his runs .
