Live Well
Movement of Change By Nick Robert
A positive attitude can go a long way not only to ensuring you reach your goals , but it can rub off on those around you , too .
I
have been in the health and fitness industry for some 15 years , not just as a coach and nutritionist , but as an athlete myself . My own transformation journey over the years saw me advance from being a very skinny individual who always battled to pick up weight – a typical ectomorph body shape – to a better , stronger physique that has empowered me to have the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and to try new things . My character has also developed into something greater , which I believe has influenced those around me to get up and create change .
Of course , this journey was not easy . Every body transformation goes from ‘ bad ’ to ‘ good ’ over the period of physical and mental change . For starters , you will initially battle with increased chromium levels ( cravings ), and the monotonous routine of eating several meals daily may get to you , but with the right guidance and research , you can really dive into eating healthy , tasty foods at the right times , all structured around both your short-term and long-term goals .
When it comes to health and fitness , you firstly need to adapt to a routine that you can enjoy , and secondly , a routine that is realistically compatible with all our life priorities , including family commitments , work commitments , social activities , sporting activities and faith , too . The upside is that this life adaptation can bring about so much positive energy , not only for yourself , but for everyone that you communicate and interact with in your circle of family , friends and colleagues . Because when you look and feel good , you give off a sense of confidence , positivity and strength within your character , which rubs off on others .
Once you adapt to a new lifestyle , I have found that most never go back to their old way of life , because your life tends to fall into place in terms of structure and enjoyment , and this affects every aspect of your life , making them better , and you able to do great things . I also find it incredibly intriguing that when someone feels great within themselves , that it can result in so many new , positive opportunities revealing themselves , thanks to that positive outlook and behaviour .
So , if you are looking to begin your body transformation , my advice is to do something different daily , avoid placing pressure on yourself , and most importantly , do it for yourself , not for others . Invest in your own journey , and tackle the duration at your own speed , one step at a time . And remember , every small change leads to a big future outcome .
