The THIRSTI story is unique . THIRSTI ’ s water is unique . It began in the early 90 ’ s – a woman named Anneriet Van Niekerk discovered a special kind of water from a natural spring , nestled amongst the indigenous forests on the slopes of the Klein Drakensberg . This water was untouched and contained a taste that only nature could master .

Fast forward to production officially commencing in 2015 and Managing Director Rob Hoatson says that the recipe remains unchanged when it comes to the bottling of the natural spring water , carefully capturing all the greatness that Mother Nature provides . “ The source is located in the Klein Drakensberg and the water that comes out of the mountain is exceptional in its composition , with a high pH of 8 and total dissolved solids of 217 . Performance Nutritionist at The Sharks , Danielle Roberts , supports Hoatson ’ s comments . “ High pH , more alkaline water neutralises the body acid more than normal water , and is proven to offer better hydration than
regular water . The body likes to sit at a more neutral pH , and I think that the more Western diet is high in acidic foods , which increases fatigue . Adding an alkaline water can help combat this , compared to normal water , which is typically more acidic .”
