RUNNER ’ S HIGH

The Experience : It was a brisk cloudy day in the KZN Lowlands , on Highthorn Farm , which is about 40km west of Estcourt . My run took me along the top of a buttress on the eastern side of the farm , with wide and far-reaching views of the Lowlands grasslands to the north , east and south . Wild grassland flowers are visible while running along single tracks that make their way through the grasslands in this region . Runs here are varied , with some steep climbs , off track and on , as well as farm roads linking you to different areas .
