Fat Cats Bring the
Heat to Midrand!
South Africa’s fastest growing road running club, Fat Cats Athletic Club, will add a huge feather to their pioneering
cap when the club hosts its maiden race at Waterfall Park at the Mall of Africa in Midrand on 13 October. At this
stage, all that is missing is you, but don’t worry, you still have time to get your entry in!
T single category winner takes home a prize, even in the nappy dash! Just another
way of making sure runners are rewarded for hard work! But everyone will have
bragging rights as every finisher will receive a medal.
Everyone is a Winner! The start and finish venue will be at the biggest mall in Africa and you will get to enjoy
the Mall of Africa with no worry about paying for parking, as all participants receive
free parking on race day! There is also plenty of entertainment for everyone at the
Mall, and it’s all systems go to make sure every runner has a fantastic experience!
he race will feature a 10km, 5km and a 1,6km (1mile), and even a 250m
Nappy Dash. The 10km is tough enough to pose a challenge,
the club has designed a fairly challenging and scenic route to give runners
a taste of Waterfall’s notorious hills, while also allowing a glimpse of the best views
of Waterfall City and Midrand. It is also a good race to challenge yourself on while
building fitness levels as you head into marathon season.
