SA’s fastest-growing road running club, Fat Cats Athletic Club, is adding a huge feather to their
pioneering cap as the club prepares to host its maiden race, the Fat Cats 10K, at the Mall of Africa
in Midrand, Gauteng, on the 13 th of October!
BRING THE FAMILY PRIZES UP FOR GRABS
The race will feature 10km, 5km and 1,6km (1 mile)
distances, as well as a 250m Nappy Dash, so there is
something for everyone, and it’s really a day for the whole
family! The Fat Cats club is all about rewarding everyone for
achieving, and so every single category winner takes home
a prize, even in the Nappy Dash! Just another way of
making sure runners are rewarded for their hard work.
THE HILLS ARE WAITING! FREE PARKING!
The club has designed a fairly challenging 10km route, but
with plenty of beautiful scenery offered by the stunning
Waterfall Estate, so you will forgive a hill or two. And
if you’re looking for a safe environment for a solid hill
session, this is the race for you, whether you’re building
climbing strength for the upcoming marathon and ultra
season, or building endurance for a PB attempt on a
flatter course. The start and finish venue will be the biggest mall in
Africa, and on race day you will get to enjoy all that the
Mall of Africa has to offer, but with no worry about paying
for parking. All participants will receive their parking for
free on race day. Waterfall Park is a well architected
playground for live bands, gin & craft beer, and artisanal
crafts, so there will be plenty of entertainment following
the race, ensuring a fantastic experience for all!
