Intense Race Day Experience
Through intense preparation, scheduling, training, and
allocation of resources, the Jetline Action Photo team
of talented photographers are prepared for anything
on the big day!
When race day finally arrives, the team is ready for the
action well before dawn breaks. They take specialised
lighting up to Chapman’s Peak and the Kirstenbosch
Gardens, to balance the early morning light, and the
photographers then split into teams and make their
way to specified locations.
During the day’s proceedings, the first ‘shot cards’
are sent to Johannesburg while the race is still taking
place. When the images arrive in Johannesburg, they
are immediately loaded to the Jetline Action Photo
system and the process of identification begins. The
first images are online by the early evening of the day
of the race!
The Johannesburg team works tirelessly through a
24-hour process for the first week after the event, and
the goal is to have all the images identified as soon as
possible, which is no easy feat.
