LETTERS whatever we collect. Running has been so much fun, especially in the two years of running in the Shongololo. The camaraderie and support has just been one awesome ‘ride’. At the beginning of 2017 that same friend encouraged me to join a club (Midas Hi-Performance) and run my first 10km at the Sasolburg Marathon. The time for my first 10km was 1:45. I ended 2017 on a high of 39:32 for 5km and 1:25 for 10km. Then in 2018 I decided to dedicate all my races to raise awareness and funds for Tambo Baby Pack Network, which provides starter packs to mothers with newborn babies at the Tambo Memorial Hospital. The organisation is in desperate need of new and pre-loved newborn baby clothing, blankets, disposable nappies, toiletries, etc, and I registered on the doit4charity website and hoped I would get support. COME A LONG WAY Boy, I’ve come a long way.
