MARATHON DUBLIN MARATHON Land only from R 18 500 pps Valid from 26 - 29 October 2018 Dublin is an ancient city founded over 1000 years ago by Vikings. Today the city is famous for its sightseeing, nightlife, pubs, restaurant, literary history and the very friendly 1 million inhabitants. Dublin Marathon is known for its relatively flat course, with over 19,500 runners from 60 countries and Europe’s 4th largest marathon, it is certainly a marathon to add to your list. Be one of the 5,700 international runners in 2018! With a start time of 9am and 4 waves, you could be in one of the many pubs with a pint of Guinness by mid-afternoon. ITINERARY Sunday, 28 October 2018: Friday, 26 October 2018: Today is the day. The start is 9am with waves at 09.00/09.10/09.20/09.30am. The start is at Fitzwilliam Street Upper and the finish is located at Merrion Square. Participants must complete the course within the time limit of 7 hours. After the marathon, you have the option to join a post marathon Gala Dinner and Traditional Show (optional extra). Arrive in Dublin and make your own arrangements to your chosen hotel. Dependent on your arrival time, you could head to the marathon expo to collect your race bib, located at the Royal Dublin Society, Merrion Road and open from 12pm - 7pm. Head out during the evening and see the city come to life at night. Enjoy a relaxed night tasting the local cuisine a nd meeting the locals. Saturday, 27 October 2018: Make your way to the Dublin Marathon EXPO if you didn’t do so yesterday. You also have the option to join Guinness Storehouse Tour or the Private Half Day City Tour (optional extra). The remainder of your day and evening are free for you to explore if you don’t wish to join one of the trips. Monday, 29 October 2018: With so much to see and explore in Dublin, today you have a day for sightseeing before travelling home.
