study and teach myself everything I could about
fashion design. From sewing to sketch art.
Everything! Once college started, I quickly moved out
of their house. It was very freeing for me, because I
could finally start my journey!
The biggest challenge for me was trying to start my
company while studying at university full time, but I
was determined. Since I wore my own gowns and
dresses…and went out in them, my name started
getting around! It was so exciting! I picked up several
commissions throughout the year 2013, and I was
nominated for 2013 F.A.C.E. awards, and I won!
I made the cover of AbOut Magazine that month. It
was unbelievable. After finishing my first line of
couture, I had the honor of showing my designs in the
Austin and Dallas fashion weeks 2014! I was featured
in the Dallas Fab Magazine.

I grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Life is very hard
there, and it’s easy to lose sight of your dreams, because
you’re forced to work hard and provide for the family.
Most people find it difficult to think outside of the box. But,
I had this dream inside of me. I wanted to become a big
fashion designer! I believed in myself, completely.
The doors were finally opening for me and I was more
driven than ever before. I began to realize I was in
control of my dreams and my dreams were coming
true! I was finally ready for the next step.
I decided I need to take a trip back home. I sacrificed
four months of my time and left my work behind to
travel to Vietnam. I wanted to set up a small family
owned factory for my designs. My family helped me
with the connections they had, and it felt really to give
back to the community that raised me. I am so
blessed.
Since I’ve been back home, I’ve been working and
planning very hard. I want to go strong in 2015! My
