All four elevators were detailed using both GMM
photoetch flooring and parts from the White Ensign
set. Support girder fretwork was also added using
various converted evergreen strips. The walkway
and catwalks were detailed, again using parts
from the convenient computer motherboard and
piping made up from telephone wire for the many
hosing units, which I replaced using the White Ensign ones. The Fresnel lens, weather satellites,
radar antennas and electronic warfare measures
support antennas along the deck perimeter were
all scratch built. Kit parts were discarded. The Life
Raft containers were all individually detailed as
one can see on the pictures. Ordnance disposal
chutes were also included.
