are new additions to the Olympics in Tokyo
in 2020, and design inspiration is drawn di-
rectly from these sports. For the younger
and more trend-based brands, the sports-
inspired summer fashion is wild and eclectic,
while the commercial audience can expect
a played down version of some of the same
elements. Olympic-related symbols in the
form of flags, numbered sport shirts and
team names will fill the fashion scene.
DUSTY PASTELS
Spring/Summer 2020 will bring a range of
ZERRES

toned down pastels such as lavender, coral,
orange and old rose - with a dusty, sun-blea-
ched look.
One of the new colours of the season is Pa-
stel Lavender, which is a mid-tone that mixes
pink and lavender. Bright petrol and dusty
mint are also essential colours in the sum-
mer of 2020. This is also true for Evening
Primrose.
But why do we need this exotic holiday at-
mosphere in our clothing?
- I guess that we yearn for something exo-
tic as a counterweight to our everyday lives.
And the happy summer colours are balanced
by the harmonious colour range inspired by
beach, water, sand, earth and stone. The "va-
gue" is replaced by down-to-earth colours,
and the colours work well tone-on-tone and
in combination, where the neutral tones are
balanced by the "wild" colours. White is a
basic colour and present in all the different
styles for summer 2020, says Anja Bisga-
ard Gaede and explains that we often see
colours spice up styles with an otherwise
minimalistic silhouette and overall look. She
continues:

ne direction with drapes and flounces as well
