I maj underskrev DK Company en kontrakt om overtagelse af
hovedparten af aktiviteterne i CNS Group efter deres konkurs.
Aftalen inkluderede de to dametøjsbrands Desires og Peppercorn,
som efterfølgende blev solgt videre til ejerne af en anden dansk
modevirksomhed, Minus.
- DK Company dækker allerede en bred vifte af mærker i dametøjs-
segmentet og de strategiske overvejelser i forbindelse med over-
tagelsen af CNS Group gik primært på fordelene ved at tilføje de to
herrebrands Solid og Tailored & Originals til vores herretøjsdivision,
forklarer CEO Jens Poulsen, og fortsætter:
- DK Company har længe haft et ønske om at styrke vores satsning
inden for herresegmentet. P.t. arbejder vi med 17 damebrands og tre
herrebrands; Matinique, Casual Friday og Blend, og vi ser overtagel-
sen af Solid og Tailored & Originals som en klar styrkelse inden for
herretøj. Vi har stor respekt for de to brands, der er bredt funderet
inden for wholesale og med egne butikker i Danmark og Norge.
De to nye herremærker står for en omsætning på ca. 200 mio. kr.
fordelt på wholesale og retail.
DK Company i Vejle under ledelse af Kasper Philipsen bliver nyt
domicil for Solid og Tailored & Originals.
SUMMARY
In May, DK Company signed an agreement of taking over the main
part of the activities in CNS Group. However, after only one week’s
ownership the two brands Desires and Peppercorn were sold to the
owners behind another Danish fashion company: Minus.
- DK Company already covers a wide range of women's segments
and the strategic considerations in connection with the acquisition of
the CNS Group were mainly focused on the two menswear brands,
Solid and Tailored & Originals, CEO Jens Poulsen from DK Company
explains.
For quite some time DK Company has been looking for an option to
increase their business within menswear.
- Before the new acquisition, we had 17 female brands and three male
brands: Matinique, Casual Friday and Blend. With the acquisition of
Solid and Tailored & Originals we see a clear strengthening within
our male brands. We have great respect for the two brands, broadly
founded within wholesale and with own retail in Denmark and Norway,
says Jens Poulsen.
The two male brands are representing a turnover of DKK 200 million
from both wholesale and retail.
