ABOUT PANOS EMPORIO
Panos Emporio is known for its quality,
good fit and innovative design, and has
among other things won the Swedish
Design Prize in the segment men's
swimwear. In addition to swimwear,
Panos Emporio also offers towels,
accessories and Swedish-produced
cosmetics.
Q | Hvordan passer Panos Emporio ind i
Syversens eksisterende produktportefølje?
A | Swimwear er en interessant kategori, og
vi har længe ønsket at udvide med et godt,
kommercielt brand. Vi sælger mange varer i
produktgrupperne strømpebukser, strømper,
leisure wear og undertøj/lingeri, så Panos
Emporio passer perfekt ind i vort set-up. Q | How does Panos Emporio match the
existing Syversen brand portfolio?
A | Swimwear is an interesting category and
we have long wanted to expand with a good,
commercial brand. We sell many items in
the product groups tights, socks, leisure
wear and underwear/lingerie, so Panos
Emporio fits perfectly into our set-up.

kedsmæssigt?
A | WWW.SYVERSEN.COM har en stærk di-
stribution selv med næsten 2.000 forhand-
lere i Norden og Baltikum.
Dertil kommer, at vi gennem snart 80 års
virksomhed har etableret et stærkt netværk
i blandt andet Europa og USA.
Vi kender mange dygtige selskaber, som lig-
ner os, og vi er allerede i dialog med flere in-

How does one approach this goal strategi-
cally and market-wise?
A | WWW.SYVERSEN.COM has a strong di-
stribution itself with nearly 2,000 dealers in
the Nordic and Baltic countries.
In addition, we have established a strong
network in, for example, Europe and the
USA through almost 80 years of business.
We know many talented companies that are
similar to us, and we are already in dialogue
with several international distributors.
Q | Hvad kan Panos Emporio, som andre ba-
demode-brands ikke kan?
A | Jeg skal ikke udtale mig om, hvad an-
dre brands ikke kan, men Panos Emporio
har eksisteret i 33 år. Grundlæggeren Panos
Papadopoluos har en meget stærk passion
for faget og for design af swimwear. Panos
Emporio er kommercielt og har produkter

tidsmuligheder er en stærk kombination. Q | What can Panos Emporio offer that other
beachwear brands cannot?
A | I don’t wish to comment on what other
brands can’t do, but Panos Emporio has exi-
sted for 33 years. The founder Panos Papa-
dopoluos has a very strong passion for the
brand and for designing swimwear. Panos
Emporio is commercial and has products
for most people. The brand is strong due to
high quality combined with the right distri-
bution.
Experience combined with open eyes in re-
lation to the future is a strong combination.
The brand Panos Emporio has a strong
history. When Panos Papadopoulos
came to Sweden, he noticed that much
of the swimwear offered to Nordic
women was not designed for them. In
1986, he therefore launched his own
swimwear collection, with sizes and
designs specially designed for Nordic
women.
In the 33 years that have passed,
a number of celebrities have been
involved with the Panos Emporio
brand. Kate Moss, Baywatch star Traci
Bingham and Viktoria Silvstedt have all
posed in the Swedish-designed brand.
The Swedish royal family is also on the
Swedish consumers buy Panos Empo-
rio for over 135 million SEK a year.
