pots, but the last 20 percent of the assort-
ment is still quite important for the concept.
I have a number of shops that have Chakar
as their only supplier besides the suppliers
of flowers and plants. It is typically smaller
florists who also want to show a universe
of pots and crafts, Britt Rønholt elaborates.
- We do our very best to produce in a su-
stainable and responsible way, and our la-
test initiative in this regard is a new colla-
boration with a Portuguese ceramic factory.
We began the cooperation with the A/W 19
collection and it is our intention that more
products will be produced in Portugal in the
future, states the Chakar founder and direc-
tor.
BACK TO NATURE
The Chakar collection for Spring/Summer
2020 focuses on a light and Nordic colour
theme with toned down colours inspired by
nature. The colour range includes light earth
tones, dusty greens and blues as well as
powder tones and rose.
- The expression is simple and with lovely
glazes in a handcrafted look - some of them
in changing colours, where no two products
are exactly the same. It gives a beautifully
crafted, unique and imperfect look, which fits
well with the trend of the season, says Britt
Rønholt, who is looking forward to presen-
ting the new collection at Formland, where
she exhibits on stand K8108.
The Danish company Chakar, with Britt Røn-
holt at the head, is once again ready to pre-
sent a new pottery collection to Formland's
visitors.
- Over the 10 years that Chakar has existed,
I have held on to the niche of pots. My pro-
ducts are mainly sold in florist stores, but
I also have, for example, handicraft shops
and lifestyle stores as customers. My focus
is on the pots, and then I develop some sup-
plemental items every season, to show a
whole brand universe. It can be in the form
of for instance matching candlesticks, va-
ses, glass products or baskets, says Britt
Rønholt about the concept.

colours and glazes. The S/S 20 collection can be experienced at Formland.
