Entrepreneur Marie Graff was actually on maternity leave during
NU’s visit to her business Kodanska. She had just given birth
to the family’s third child a few weeks before the interview, but
in her case maternity leave doesn’t exactly take its traditional
form. The interview took place at the dining table in the family’s
lovely kitchen-dining area, all the while Maria Graff’s two kittens
gently rubbed against her and the baby slept safely in its cradle.
Calmly and smilingly, she poured us freshly made coffee and
treated us to her homemade rolls.
Business life and home life blend together at Kodanska, yet no
one is stressing over anything. Just a few weeks after NU’s vi-
sit, the whole family, including the Kodanska founder, the father
who is head of marketing at LEGO, their baby, and its two sib-
lings, a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, left for a long trip to
the United States. When Marie Graff gets back, it’s off to Form-
land in a hurry. At the trade fair, she will present several exciting
new items including a selection of colourful glasses intended
to supplement Kodanska’s well-known ceramic pots, porcelain
bowls, and iconic “knobbly” glass carafes.
LOTS OF NEW ITEMS
A significant expansion of its product range is on its way, and
Kodanska will present the new and well known items at its stand
at Formland in Herning.
The new dessert plates are suited to things such as ice cream
and other desserts, and they are part of the “Danish Summer”
series of glass products.
