SUMMARY
Zoey, who does not like to be labelled a plus size brand because the
brand is for women of all sizes, will amp up exports in 2020. The
brand is now present with an independent network of agents in Ger-
many, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Finland,
and Poland. Its home market remains important to Zoey, which was
launched in 2019, but future growth is expected to come primarily
from export markets.
Founder Trine Vinther is behind Zoey, and she still heads up the
company both when it comes to design and sales.
Trine Vinther emphasizes Zoey’s service that allows retailers to or-
der online via the company’s B2B platform.
- Here, retailers have complete access to information about which
products are in stock. They can see both NOOS items and which
seasonal products are still available. It’s a huge advantage for re-
tailers to be able to handle supplemental purchases online outside
normal business hours, notes Trine Vinther, although she would
never dream of removing the option of visits from sales represen-
tatives or agents.
- We especially have to support the smaller stores. I see indepen-
dent store owners very much as everyday heroes, and our society
wouldn’t function without them, says Trine Vinther.
Zoey is for women of all sizes, as the slogan makes clear.
- Any business has to find its niche - that goes for our retailers as
well as for us. Our niche is to develop fashion items for women of all
sizes and to send a message to curvy women that they have just as
much right to access all the new colours, prints, trends, and materi-
als as everyone else, ends Trine Vinther.
