TREND 2: MODERN HERITAGE
Part of next winter’s fashion will draw in-
spiration from the Renaissance, but with a
twist that is going to give it an exciting and
modern look. This is the case in both wo-
men’s and men’s fashion, with slightly dif-
ferent approaches in each.
The women’s side of things draws on
aspects from the gobelin universe. Among
elements from the Renaissance are collars,
brooches, and puff sleeves. Long Renais-

sance dresses are reinterpreted into shorter
mini Renaissance dresses, while the spen-
cer also gets a comeback.
Long laced boots will be part of this winter’s
footwear trend.
Skirts and dresses remain an important
part of the fashion, and we’ll see both maxi
dresses, ankle skirts, midi skirts, and A-line
dresses.
Lace, frill, and hairbands reference the past,
but also younger girls’ favourite clothes,
such as tulle, which brings volume and pro-
vides a feminine - sometimes slightly cari-
catured - little girl look.
Dusty, purple colour tones and long-sleeved
dresses provide a beautiful feminine and
winterly look, and prints with flower and
heritage motifs - such as from the British
horse riding and hunting environment - con-
tinue.
