Space journeys
Parallel with the nature trend
we see a counter trend. In this
trend, fashion designers are inspired by the technological world and space journeys – a trend
heavily based on materials.
- The clothes are very simple –
you wear few pieces to achieve
a minimalistic, almost futuristic
look with focus on materials
such as neoprene, light-weight
down and rubbery or shiny sur-
faces, says As Øland and adds
ANERKJENDT
that functionality is key in this
trend. And even though the ma-
terials are functional, they are
breathable and comfortable to
wear. As in the nature trend, it’s
essential that the clothes feel

comfortable.
A part of the technology-based
trend mixes sports into the look.
Widely different sports such as
yoga, mindfulness, cycling, tri-
athlon and extreme sports inspire the style.
- It’s interesting to see how yoga
inspires this part of the fashion
scene, but then again – it’s all
BLEND
about bringing in contrasts –
the contrast to high technology,
where
urban-minded
people
PULZ JEANS
find a half hour to do yoga and
meditation in the midst of their
busy lives surrounded by high-
tech – or at least to dream about
a half hour’s peace and quiet and
to reflect their dream in the way
they dress, the trend expert elaborates.
In terms of colours the theme
DUCKFEET
SHINE
is dominated by many grey and
black tones – some of the colours
are shiny or metallic. The look
can be mellow using these neutral colours or it can be spiced
up using sharp accent colours
such as pink, sun yellow or pur-
ple. The heavy colours are also
used on whole items such as

down jackets or rainwear.
