universes for the new Fall 2014 collection.
- Desire’s new outerwear comes with photo prints of animal fur on workwear jackets and
new finishes on nylon jackets in an oily look and 3D effect that add a “flickering” look. Allover print is used on the inside and the outside on the same style. Fake fur, fake and crackled suede and fake sheepskin – either by itself or in a mix – are other examples of Desires
innovative outerwear news. The classic parka coat with a lining decorated with animal
prints and a collar made of fake fur is an upcoming hit in the cold weather, says Marketing
Manager Hanne Elgaard from Desires.

- We have found inspiration in the universe
”utility casualwear” and added an elegant
touch to it in order to achieve a feminine
look. We also have styles that offer a high
degree of functionality via the 3M thinsulate padding and a tight quilt pattern en-
suring that the silhouette does not become
too voluminous. It is key for the Dranella
woman to feel feminine and functional
at the same time. A high collar protects
against wind and we work with contrasts
in the materials to enhance the visual appearance. Animal print has become a “con-
temporary classic”. The silhouette is in-
spired by the 50’s cocoon shape with drop
shoulders, rounded shapes and slim bottom
width on the coat adding a fashion edge and
tailored look to the item – that is a significant feature. The colours are classic and the
fabric soft – Luxe Texture – ensuring that
the coat’s femininity is intact, says Trine
