How to repair leaky faucets in your RV
First, shut the water pump off and bleed all the water from the lines
before beginning the repair/replacement. This will lower the chance of
any water spilling out while you are doing the work on the faucets.
Since there is not much room to work with; you will be doing most of the
work by feeling. You will need to feel your way up the water line to find
the nut attached to the faucet. The tool required for this job is a basic
wrench. If you do not have one, you can find one affordably priced at
the local hardware store.
Use your wrench to break the fitting loose; ensure to keep track which is
the hot and cold lines. (Often the RV manufacturer will use RED water
lines for recognizes the hot water lines.
Now that the water is disconnected, you need to loosen the nuts that
are securing the faucet to the countertop. Remove the connector nuts
and easily take the faucet out of the countertop.
Take the old faucet with you when shopping for new fixtures—this
ensures you get a faucet that has accurate fittings.
Once you have the new faucet fixture, just go in reverse order to install
it in your RV countertop.
