FEATURE — OUTBACK ADVENTURES
SOUTH AUSTRALIA .
Oodnadatta Track , Mt Dare , Dalhousie Springs , Blood Creek Ruins , Eringa Ruins , Oodnadatta , The Pink Roadhouse , Coober Pedy , Lake Cadibarrawirracanna , Algebuckina Bridge , William Creek , Coward Springs , Mound Springs , Mutonia Sculpture Park , Marree , Farina and Hawker .
SA HIGHLIGHTS : 1 . Crocodile Harry ’ s Dugout in Coober Pedy — this is one of the most bizarre places we ’ ve ever seen . The crude artwork , random objects , car parts , women ’ s underwear and tributes from thousands of people who visited during and after Crocodile Hunter Harry ’ s life are well worth a look !
2 . Algebuckina Bridge — following the entire Old Ghan Railway Line , reading the history , and checking out the sidings and ruins was incredible but camping at this bridge was something else . The looming bridge soaked by the silver light of the moon , framed by our van windows is a sight we will never forget .
3 . Lake Cadibarrawirracanna , Anna Creek is one of our favourite outback free camps . We arrived at 10 am and camped next to a dry creek bed ; by 3 pm there was a full ( salt ) river in front of us ! But don ’ t be tempted to go for a swim , Chris tried to get to the water and ended up sinking up to his knees in mud ! We witnessed some bizarre green and yellow lights reflecting over the still water and stars like we had never seen before .
These are but a few of the incredible memories we have made and if you would like to see more , we have created an entire YouTube series covering our outback adventures . We invite you to subscribe to our channel and come along for the ride ! Hit us up with any questions you have .
