I ’ M NOT GOING TO BE USING MY RV FOR A WHILE – WILL MY BATTERY BE OK ?
We recommend charging up your RV battery before storing it for an extended period of time . If the deep cycle battery is partially flat , it can further discharge over time and cause damage to the battery , shortening its cycle life . A properly maintained battery will last much longer . Try to keep your battery discharge as minimal as you can – a deep cycle battery will last longer if it is only discharged to 50 % as opposed to one that is frequently discharged to 80 %.
WHAT RV AC DO I NEED IN WARM LOCATIONS ?
Recreational vehicles can quickly become uncomfortable on a hot day when you ' re travelling in warm climates . Rest and recuperation are only possible with an adequate air conditioner . If you plan to visit warmer locations , it is best to invest in an air conditioning unit with a larger energy rating .
In addition , it is important not to expect the same performance from your RV air conditioner as you get from a vehicle A / C system , which is powered via the engine . If you ’ re wishing to have 18 ° C indoors at midday when the sun is at its peak and the temperature is over 30 ° C , you will likely be disappointed . However , you can look forward to a good night ’ s sleep in pleasant temperature conditions . The purpose of RV air conditioners is not to struggle with the outside temperature but to prevent heat-up caused by additional , “ man-made ” factors . The temperature level inside a vehicle exposed to the sun usually exceeds the outside temperature by far . Air conditioners can help significantly reduce the interior temperature and the humidity for a better indoor climate .
As a rule of thumb , aim for a temperature between 20 ° C and 23 ° C , which is considered to be best for a comfortable climate .

WHAT SIZE PORTABLE FRIDGE / FREEZER SHOULD I PURCHASE ?
We deliver our portable fridge / freezers in a range of sizes and volumes . It ’ s important to remember that larger sizes will require more energy , be heavier to lift , and will take up more storage space . On the other hand , a compact fridge / freezer would hardly be sufficient for a family of five – they would certainly need more cooling capacity .
Our recommendation is to choose the portable fridge / freezer that is the perfect match for you , your companions and your travelling habits , but also take into consideration the size and the space available in your vehicle .
