TEAM FOR CURES: 5K WALK/RUN SAN FRANCISCO DALLAS BOSTON On March 24 th , more than 900 participants helped the MMRF kick off a successful spring race season on a sunny afternoon in the Bay Area and raised over $200,000. Honorary race chairs Tom Martin, MD, Nina Shah, MD and Jeffery Wolf, MD of UC San Francisco addressed the crowd. One of the MMRF’s newest board members, Rodney Gilmore, was also in attendance. On April 15 th , nearly 700 participants gathered to support the MMRF on an unusually chilly Texas morning that raised over $150,000. Myeloma patient Ryan Anthony and members of the Dallas Symphony performed a beautiful rendition of the national anthem before honorary race chairs Larry Anderson, MD, PhD of UT Southwestern and Brian Berryman, MD of Baylor Health addressed the crowd. On April 29 th , over 3,000 participants gathered to support the largest fundraising 5K Walk/Run in MMRF 5K program history! Over $940,000 was raised and honorary race chair Paul Richardson, MD of Dana Farber addressed the crowd. The MMRF honored three local middle school girls who volunteered their time to create and distribute care packages to all myeloma patients at the 5K.
