I was able to have moments when I could dedicate myself to my son and family but couldn’t simultaneously cater the same way to my other baby, “Empowered Stilettos.” Both being a mom and building my business were great passions that I knew I was purposed for, but the only thing in my way was me. I lacked the tools to balance them both. How on earth was I going to wake up at 5am, make breakfast and get dressed, prepare my son for school, go to work, take care of 31 children that didn’t belong to me, get home to cook, clean, help with homework and build my business? If I am being pulled in a hundred different directions, how can I focus on what’s important? I reached a point where I was tired of being in the same place, doing the same things with the same results of being exhausted and burnt out. I had to do something. Once I took action to change and began seeing progress and success in both areas, I decided to look back and document the things I had done in order to share my experience with others.
