“This is what I have dreamed about. Not many people can truly say
that they have taken steps to make their dreams a reality but I can and

MMIA: When did you decide to become entrepreneur?
days/time aside for us to do more fun things together.
STEPHANIE: I have been working in the industry for a very long time,
about a decade. I choose to go into business for myself one year ago.
MMIA: Take us through a typical day in your life.
MMIA: How long did it take you to go from business idea to actually
seeing income?
STEPHANIE: The idea has been with me for many years. I have worked as
a hair stylist in salons for about 8 years before stepping out and actually
becoming a business owner.
MMIA: Do you ever regret your decision to become a full-time
entrepreneur?
STEPHANIE: There are moments of doubt, frustration, and
discouragement. But never regret. This is what I have dreamed about.
Not many people can truly say that they have taken steps to make their

• Pick him up-go home
• Homework/Dinner
• Bedtime
This repeats throughout the week

STEPHANIE: You can do it! It comes with its challenges. Scheduling and
to-do lists are a must. It also takes a village. Having help with your child is
essential because there will be times when you have to put in some long
hours. If your children are old enough, make them a part of the journey.
They can be your first assistants. Definitely educate yourself as much
as possible. Become a mentee and learn. That is a great way to help you
grow as an entrepreneur. Nonetheless, you can do it. It will show your
children that they can also go after their dreams.
STEPHANIE: My son sometimes wants me to be home more often. When
we can just have fun time. I did sit him down and have a talk with him
about my work and why it is important that I work. I have put certain
