I’ve learned to prioritize mommy time and then setting time where everyone understands that mommy has to work and not feeling guilty about it, and that has worked well for me.” MMIA: When did you decide to become entrepreneur? CHRISTINA:I decided to become an entrepreneur because I was ready to embrace the freedom that came with being able to follow my passion, but also give back to my community. MMIA: How long did it take you to go from business idea to actually seeing income? CHRISTINA:It took two years in starting Beautiful Brown Girls before I started seeing income. However, I do see those initial two years as a time where I laid the foundation for what we’ve blossomed into. It took time for us to really lay the ground work on what the business was, and a strategic plan on how we can grow successfully. That is something I’m happy wasn’t rushed.
