NORTHERN POWERHOUSE
Medilink has stepped up to support the Northern Powerhouse initiative , joining forces with the Government to help the North achieve its full potential - and attract new jobs and investment to the region .
Medilink is one of 30 founding partners , who were consulted on the direction of the Northern Powerhouse by Northern Powerhouse Minister Andrew Percy MP , at an inaugural event that was attended by Medilink CEO Kevin Kiely .
A free one-day workshop on NHS Market Access , was Medilink ’ s first event - held in partnership with the Northern Powerhouse . The high demand event offered companies the latest information on the NHS ’ procurement landscape , market opportunities and industrial strategies .
Similar events will be organised throughout the year with the aim to promote exciting local developments across four key priorities : connectivity and transport ; skills , science and innovation ; quality of life and culture , and devolution .
Northern Powerhouse Minister , Andrew Percy , said : “ We are determined to create an economy that works for everyone , which is why we ’ re backing the Northern Powerhouse with the investment and powers it needs to unleash its huge untapped potential .”
