I like Kidzania’s corporate values which are these five qualities: Passion, Commitment, Integrity, Entrepreneurship and Efficiency. It sounded like MOE’s broad directions - joy of learning and entrepreneur dare. The General Manager addressed us and a group of new employees and shared his beliefs and philosophy. Kidzania is build based on the core beliefs of nurturing a child – the future of our country. The educational activities designed are really kid centric, fun and interactive. It looks like a school day having a carnival, minus all the examination papers and worksheets. As what the quote says “Learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience” ~ David A. Kolb, educational theorist. I strongly believe such learning is beneficial and it also builds strong cognitive, social emotional learning competencies. In addition, I learnt that their top priority for recruitment and offering of employment contract is the staff’s passion and attitude. It was highlighted that attitude, not education qualifications is the number one requirement. 31
