Hello MLP Members ,
As we bid farewell to 2022 and look ahead to the new year , we are planning opportunities for members to get together , exchange ideas , and continue to move our industry forward .
At MLP ’ s annual meeting in November , our speaker Barbara Conolly presented a thought-provoking and practical look at the art and science of sustainable landscapes . I was particularly taken by her seven pillars , from healthy soil and the role of water management to proper plant selection and sourcing local materials . The vision she presented for our profession was inspiring ( read more on page 11 ).
Using that inspiration as a springboard , MLP will work to find more ways to educate our members on best management practices , as well as the economic benefit of sustainable landscapes now and for the future .
I ’ m looking forward to MLP networking opportunities for 2023 . These events are not possible without sponsorship from our Associate Members , and we are grateful for their support . If you know a vendor , supplier , or sub-contractor who would benefit from connecting with the state ’ s leading landscape companies , please have them contact the MLP office or me directly .
