Paige Landscaping Co . and the Industry COLLECTIVE by Brian Paige , MCLP

In early 2021 we heard about an industry outreach program that was being headed by Mike Haynes from The Loving Companies in North Carolina . We had some mutual connections , so we reached out to Mike to learn more . After speaking with Mike and joining the initial Zoom meeting with approximately 15 other companies from across the country , we realized that collectively we shared the same vision of helping others in need .
Mike partnered with Jamie Waldron from the Rhino Impact Group who specializes in mobilizing volunteers globally for natural disaster relief distributing meals and hygiene kits . The initial goal was to have a collection of green industry professionals from across the country make a larger impact together by having an event in the Summer to pack hygiene kits that would be ready to distribute in the event of a natural disaster in the country . We also had hopes of having additional events throughout the year . The focus quickly shifted to where the participating companies could donate to local organizations in their communities . Today , there are more than 40 companies participating in the Industry COLLECTIVE .
At Paige Landscape , we currently have three Industry COLLECTIVE events each year since its inception in 2021 and have been able to donate to three local organizations . For our Summer event , we donate Hygiene Kits to Father Bill ’ s & Mainspring in Brockton & Quincy . These kits are the first item that is given to an individual struggling with homelessness . Our Fall event we fill backpacks with school supplies and donate them to Interfaith Services in Quincy . The backpacks are distributed to children in need , so they are confident they have the supplies they need to participate and succeed in school . For our Winter event we donate Food Kits to The Walpole Food Pantry to help local children facing food insecurity over the holidays and weekends who rely on school food programs .
Jamie and her team handle all the logistics of product and supply ordering , and shipping , as well as assisting with marketing so you receive everything you need for the event including instructions . At PLC we incorporate the events with one of our weekly Wednesday morning training meetings . Our team members are excited to participate in these events and feel that they are making a positive difference . The Industry COLLECTIVE program aligns with Paige Landscape ’ s culture of caring and is one way we try to create joy in people ’ s lives .
