Interview with Cash Cash
BM: What would you say has been the hardest lesson the band has had to learn?
Jean Paul: Patience. Patience is a virtue i never had. I always expected results right away because we constantly worked so hard at everything. But in the entertainment industry x amount of hours or work doesn’t always equate to x amount of success. Sometimes we’ll do something so simple and small that took zero work and it’ll bring us more success then something we’ve been working on for weeks. It’s something you learn to deal with and i think we’ve come a long way since when we first started this. This time around we’re more mature as people and know how the game works. Slow and steady wins the race..
Fan QS: What do you like the most about touring in different countries?
Jean Paul: It’s amazing playing shows outside of the US because hearing people single your lyrics in another country really makes you feel like what your doing is reacting. We just got back from the Netherlands and it was so crazy to hear our song on the radio over there and people singing it at the club.

Fan QS: How do you feel about the fan base you have built up all over the world?
Jean Paul: We have the best fans. They are very devoted and supportive of us and how we evolve our sound. We’ve been evolving our sound from the beginning and our fans are growing with us. We’re getting older and our fans are too. We are diving into the EDM scene and our fans don’t seem to mind at all. It’s still gonna be poppy music with big hooks so it’s not like we’ve done a 360 from a metal band to a dance band. We’ve always had that electronic vibe and it’s just constantly evolving with as our tastes change each record we release.
Fan QS: Do you plan on coming back to the UK anytime soon?
Jean Paul: We definitely do. The last time we were in the UK it was on a sold out tour with Cobra Starship. Definitely one of our favorite tours. The UK is always a good time!.
Cash Cash is a successful pop/EDM group made up of Jean Paul Makhlouf (vocals, guitar), Alex Makhlouf (keyboards, programming), and Samuel Frisch (vocals, bass). Originally from the 2 mile long town of Roseland, New Jersey, this trio would have never predicted they would one day be selling out headlining tours in Japan and Brazil. MLE had the opportunity to talk with Jean Paul about the past, present, and future of Cash Cash.
