The league began an aggressive approach in its social media presence
in 2009, adding Facebook, Twitter and YouTube sites, with goals to expand its social media initiative in order to reach the most fans possible.

The Missouri Valley Conference offers a wide array
of media services, including monthly teleconference coaches briefings in basketball, as well as weekly releases and
preseason publications for each of the league’s 18 sports programs.
During the season, a panel will select a Player of the Week and a
Newcomer of the Week.

Information on the Missouri Valley Conference has been available on
the web since 1995, and the league’s official website -- www.mvcsports.com -- continues to stand out as one of the nation’s top collegiate athletic sites on the world wide web. Newly redesigned by Derrick Docket, it is currently maintained by the league’s media relations
staff.
Current news and information about MVC athletics teams, live statistics, official team merchandise, live events, highlights, press conferences and other exclusive features are available on the league’s
website.
MVC Players of the Week - Each week an MVC women’s basketball
Player and Newcomer of the Week are selected. The players are announced Monday afternoon and appear in a weekly press release.
Nominees are provided by each school’s sports information contact.
MVC/National Stats - Updated overall and league statistics can be
found on the MVC website, as well as current standings for all ten
league teams. The NCAA also releases national statistics each week.
Honors and Awards - The Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference
teams, All-Freshman team, Coach of the Year, Jackie Stiles Player of
the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Freshman of the Year and All-Defensive Team are selected by a vote of sports information directors,
coaches and media.

The women’s basketball tournament website was redesigned in the
fall 2011 to reflect the neutral site tournament (www.mvcstcharles.
com). It is a fan-friendly site with links to area hotels, travel information,
tournament history, St. Charles tourist attractions, etc.

MVC Sports Properties
The Valley has entered into a seven-year, exclusive relationship with
collegiate sports marketer Learfield Sports. Effective in July of 2010,
Missouri Valley Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports, will
spearhead numerous efforts for the league to bolster its presence among
corporate America and strengthen its brand among fans, alumni and
the marketplace through media, corporate hospitality, venue exposure,
branding opportunities and product sampling. MVCSP also will be an
integral partner charged with creating corporate opportunities for the
MVC Web site (mvc-sports.com), and managing promotions and certain
retail licensing deals.
MVC Video Streaming -- “Valley Live”
The MVC has signed an agreement with WebStream
Productions (WSP) to produce championship events
and provide consulting services to help elevate and
standardize the league’s video streaming products.
Non-televised championship games/matches from
women’s soccer, men’s soccer, volleyball, women’s
basketball, softball and baseball will all be available via the league’s
online digital network at valley-live.tv.
Coaches Teleconferences
Teleconferences with The Valley head coaches will be conducted on
two Tuesdays throughout the season. The conferences begin at 11:45
a.m. (CST). To participate in the conference calls, call (877) 441.0939.

Playbacks are available at www.mvc-sports.com or by calling (855)
859.2056, and will be available no later than end of day each Wednesday.
Please contact The Valley to arrange participation via long distance
telephone - through TBG Conferencing - in the two sessions. Media will
be allowed to ask questions directly of the coaches. The session dates
for 2013-14 are January 7 and March 11.
