The MVC has been No. 8 or higher eight times in its history, with all of those taking place in the past nine seasons. At No. 18, Wichita State was the highest-rated team in 2013. (The Shockers were also No. 18 in the season-ending RPI of 2012.) Southern Illinois was No. 9 in the RPI at the end of the 2006-07 campaign to set the league standard.
