Kevin Lehman, Analyst
Jayice Pearson, Analyst
Jayice (pronounced JC) Pearson is in his
first?season?as?a?member?of?the?MVC?Television Network talent team.
A native of Oceanside, Calif., Pearson has
served as an analyst for Missouri-Kansas City
men’s basketball telecasts for the past four
seasons.
A product of the University of Washington,
Pearson played eight seasons in the National
Football League as a defensive back for the
Kansas City Chiefs (1986-1992) and the Minnesota Vikings (1993).
Pearson began his broadcasting career as a college football analyst
for ESPN Regional (1998-2002) and in 2003 started calling National
Football League games for FOX telecasts.
He left FOX following the 2008 season to return to ESPN as a college
football analyst for three campaigns. Pearson is now in his third season calling college football contests for FOX Sports Net.
John Rooney, Play-by-Play
John Rooney is in his second tour of duty as
part of the Missouri Valley Conference Television Network talent team. Rooney served as
a TV play-by-play voice for The Valley during
the 1988-89 academic year.
A native of Richmond, Mo., Rooney completed his eighth year of broadcasting St.
Louis Cardinals games with partner Mike
Shannon in 2013.
He came to St. Louis from the Chicago
White Sox where he spent 18 years (19882005) – one in TV and 17 seasons following in the radio booth. The
Cardinals World Championship crown in 2006 gave John the privilege
of working with the World Champion team in back-to-back seasons,
following the White Sox win in 2005.
? Rooney,?58,?called?his?first?major?league?game?in?1983?with?Shannon?
and Hall of Fame Broadcaster Jack Buck during a three-game series
between the Cardinals and host Cincinnati Reds.
He began his baseball broadcasting career at the class AAA level,
spending the 1981-82 seasons with the Oklahoma 89ers and the
1983-84 campaigns with the Louisville Redbirds.
? He?juggled?two?stints?in?the?1980?s?as?a?sports?reporter?for?KMOX?
around his baseball broadcasting and also called University of Missouri
basketball games for 20 seasons. He also has broadcast several college football bowls as well as the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament,
including the Final Four (1984-2002).
Inducted into the state of Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in February 2004, he and his wife, Susan, have two daughters, Colleen and
Rachel.
Scott Warmann
Play-by-Play / Host
Scott Warmann is in his ninth season as a
member of The Valley TV Network.
Warmann will perform play-by-play duties
and serve as the between-games host for the
2014 MVC Men’s Basketball Championship
at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. He will also
handle play-by-play responsibilities for the
2013 MVC Women’s Soccer Championship at
Evansville, Ind., the 2013 MVC Men’s Soccer
Championship at Peoria, Ill., and the 2014 MVC Women’s Basketball
Championship at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
In 2014, he will be in his third year as a member of the ESPN3 talent
team as a baseball play-by-play voice for the MVC Championship from
Terre Haute, Ind.
Warmann has also done play-by-play as a member of the Missouri
Valley Football Conference telecast team for the last 12 seasons.
A St. Louis native, Warmann was a studio host for the St. Louis
