with collegiate sports

Missouri?Valley?Sports?Properties,?a?property?of?Learfield?
Sports, began spearheading numerous efforts for the
league to bolster its presence among corporate America
and strengthen its brand among fans, alumni and the
marketplace through media, corporate hospitality, venue
exposure, branding opportunities and product sampling.
MVCSP also will be an integral partner charged with
creating corporate opportunities for the MVC Web site
(mvc-sports.com), and managing promotions and certain
retail licensing deals.

The Missouri Valley Conference offers
a wide array of media services, including?weekly?telephonic?coaches?briefings?
in basketball, as well as weekly releases and preseason
publications for each of the league’s 18 sports programs.
During the season, a panel will select a Player of the
Week and a Newcomer of the Week.

been available on the web since 1995, and the league’s

stand out as one of the nation’s top collegiate athletic

Mike Kern, it is currently maintained by the league’s
media relations staff.

The site (archmadness.com) debuted in January of
2003 and is a fan-friendly site with links to St. Louis
hotels and travel information, plus tournament stories,
game recaps, and photos.

The league began an aggressive approach in its social
media presence in 2009, with goals to expand its social
media initiative in order to reach the most fans possible.

Television Production - Niles Media Group
Kansas City-based Niles Media
Group serves as the production
company for the conference’s
television package.
The partnership between the Missouri Valley Conference and Niles Media Group is for the 2013-14 academic
year and features a two-year option for the 2014-15 and
2015-16 seasons.

Video Streaming - “Valley Live”
The MVC has signed an agreement with
WebStream Productions (WSP) to produce
championship events and provide consulting
services to help elevate and standardize the
league’s video streaming products. Non-televised championship games/matches from women’s soccer, men’s soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, softball
and baseball will all be available via the league’s webstreaming initiative (visit valley-live.tv for more info).

Tuesday Coaches Briefings
Teleconferences with The Valley head coaches will be
conducted on Tuesday throughout the season. The conferences begin at 10:30 a.m. (Central). To participate in
the conference calls, please dial 877-441-0939.
A special pre-tournament call will take place on Tuesday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m. (Central). The call-in number is 877-441-0939. Speaking order will be determined.
The Valley also will conduct an all-conference call
on Tuesday, March 4, at 2:30 p.m. (Central), with the
league’s Larry Bird Trophy winner, Newcomer of the Year,
Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and
Sixth Man Award. That number is 877-441-0939.
On Monday, March 17, at 10 a.m. (Central), there will
be a call featuring the league’s head coaches selected for
post-season play. The Q&A segments with the coaches
are 10 minutes long (instead of six minutes). Speaking
order will be determined. That number is 877-441-0939.
The teleconferences will be streamed live each week,
and?audio?files?will?also?be?available?for?playback?on?the?
conference’s web site within 24 hours.
Please contact The Valley to arrange participation in the
weekly sessions. Media will be allowed to ask questions
directly of the coaches. The session schedule (times
