Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so
little; together we can do so much.” Today, this
statement is more relevant than ever. We must
realize that, as Christians, we are all on the same
mission. In Matthew 28:19, 20 Jesus says,
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and the
Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples
to obey all the commands I have given you. And be
sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end
of the age.”
Israel is in the middle of a crisis as we speak. Israel seems to be losing support from many
nations. I often wonder if the leadership of our nation has forgotten the promise God made to
Abraham. Genesis 12:3 says, “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse those who curse
you.” Our great leaders of the Church of God have issued a strategy or plan to help Israel. We
must take this opportunity set before us to bless God’s people. I am reminded of what Ruth told
Naomi at a critical point in her life. Ruth 1:16,17 says, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn
back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and
your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord
punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” We must approach God’s chosen
people (Israel) with this same dedication.
I want to encourage all Pastors, Youth Pastors, and members of the Church of God in
Mississippi, to get behind this Initiative. Let us pray, fast and seek God’s will, asking Him to guide
us in the amount He would have us to give. I challenge you to get behind our State Youth and
Discipleship Director, Bro. Dewayne Moree, with your financial support of this great YWEA
initiative. The Church of God in Mississippi, must have a heart for the homeland. Together, as
“ONE,” we can make a tremendous impact in Israel, and God will bless our faithfulness.
