THE DEVOTIONAL PRAYER LIFE OF JESUS BY: W.D. HILL Throughout the life of Jesus his ministry was filled with prayer. In Matthew 6:7-13 we have Jesus' model of prayer. He taught us a simple prayer just as a child would communicate with his father. This prayer emphasizes communicating with the Father rather than the beauty of the words we might use. This model prayer is our example from Jesus. Another example of Jesus praying is found in Matthew 9:29. This passage teaches “according to your faith be it done unto you”. It is so easy to trust God in good times. But it takes much more faith to keep that trust during painful trials. Tough times happen to all of us and it is sometimes hard to believe that God is willing to take you through the impossible situations in your life. But faith is the most important factor that one must have in this time of crisis. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” because faith is the key to all the strength and power that God has given to us. It simply means that you believe that God is bigger than your problem. For every affliction that we must bear, for every burden, there is a reason. For every grief that imparts our heart, for every tear that we shed, there is a reason. For every hur а
