Skull Book Ends THERE’S NOTHING BETTER THAN TO BE ABLE TO SHOW OFF YOUR COLLECTION OF PRETTY BOOKS. KEEP YOUR ROOM FANCY DECORATED AND FETCH THESE AWESOME BOOKENDS! Step 1 | Make a pencil mark down the center of the plaster skull and used a simple handsaw to slowly saw the skull in half. What you´ll need: Step 3 | Take poplar board and cut the board into two pieces that are 9 1/2 inches long. • A plaster skull, • A 3 ½ inch wide poplar board (only wood will do), • A saw, • A pencil, • Strong glue, • Painters tape, • Acrylic gloss and • White paint. Step 2 | Once the skull is separated into two halves, use a clear gloss sealer to seal the outside of the plaster and follow it up with a white gloss spray paint to give it some shine. Step 4 | Paint those boards white with an acrylic gloss paint and glue each skull half onto a board with a strong glue. Step 5 | Use painter’s tape and heavy items on either side of the bookends to hold them upright while drying.
