In this festival edition we will show you how to make your own festival-approved shirt. It’ s easy, fun and you’ ll have an original and personal shirt and it won’ t even take a lot of time! First of all a list of things you need;
Iron Ironing board( of course) Old, blank shirt( preferably black or white and made of cotton, keep in mind what kind of prints you want to use concerning the color of the shirt) Text and / or pictures you want to have on the shirt Printer Transfer-paper Baking paper Piece of cardboard( or something similar)
Step 1 | Choose and print texts and / or pictures you want to have on your shirt with the transfer paper. Make sure you print them mirrored, otherwise you’ ll have to look or read backwards to know what’ s exactly on your shirt. Step 2 | Let the prints dry for at least half an hour. Step 3 | Lay the old shirt on the ironing board and place a piece of cardboard in your shirt, this way the print won’ t go through the material and end up on the other side as well when you iron it. Make sure the shirt is clean and as wrinkle-free as possible, it will improve the result. So if your shirt is clean, iron the shirt before you place the prints on it. Step 4 | Place the prints on the shirt and the baking paper on top of the prints. Step 5 | Set the iron at‘ maximum’, don’ t forget to shut off the‘ steam-function’, no steam needed at all, okay? Step 6 | When you and the iron are ready to go start making powerful and rotating movements with the iron on the prints( baking paper). Keep it up at least 60 seconds, if it’ s a
