.. Un café, s'il vous plaît! Translation: A coffee, please! Stories Where do you see yourself in ten years? Are you married with the love of your life, while you’re stuck at a job you hate? Or maybe you’re still single and you enjoy volunteering at the animal shelter across the street. Who knows? Anything can happen. That thought is both inspiring and uplifting, as it is frightening and intimidating. Because you can’t know, nobody knows, and there’s nothing you can do about it NOW. But who says that you should stop doing what you love, despite the fact that you can’t foresee the future? Then again, when you are trying to get a promising future for yourself. Like getting good grades, because your parents ask you that. And of course, because you want to have a good educational option later on. But when you get all those straight A’s, you get to hear from your peers that you “try to hard” or that “you are such a nerd to even bother”. The weird thing is, that when you don’t really care at all, and you get those D’s anyway, even if you tried. Suddenly you’re being ignorant and a douchebag for throwing such a good education away. It seems like you can never do it right. Why is it so important to OTHERS what you are working on? They’re not taking part in any kind of way in your future. They aren’t the ones that are gonna work your job, or raise your kids. There are so many articles to find on “how you can shake the bullies’ hating off you” or “how to not be a victim of bullying”. How idiotic is that? YOU, the victim have to stand up for yourself? Of course, but why don’t they teach kids not to bully, or how to stand down and be tolerant and accepting. But sometimes you just don’t wanna read that, you don’t wanna think about the shitty bullies in your life. Sometimes you just don’t wanna feel okay, and that is okay. xo Amber Belle
