“April showers bring May
flowers and May flowers bring
June flowers.”
June – Prom is over and for
most of you school is out or soon
will be. Some of you have even
graduated – Congratulations!
And as we move into the summer,
most of you will take some type
of Inventory of your clothes
and shoes, keeping some, and
replacing others. You probably
can’t wait to get to the mall to
see what new outfits you need
to get for the upcoming summer
months.
Well, while inventorying your
clothes and shoes is no doubt
very important, it is just as
important to take inventory of
yourself- physically, mentally
and emotionally – see what you
need to keep and see what you
need to replace!
Physically - Are you taking
optimal care of yourself? This
means eating in a healthy
manner, keeping a healthy
weight, getting in some type
of exercise and getting enough
sleep – LOL (this is a hard one
for most young people). If you
have a medical condition that
requires treatment, are you
following the plan?

Mentally – Challenge yourself
to greater heights. Make sure
that negative thinking or fear
of the unknown is not keeping
you from realizing your dreams,
whatever they may be. Try
something new this summer
that will make you exercise your
mental “muscles”. Believe in
yourself and remember that with
God all things are possible!
Emotionally – This is a big one!
Get in touch with your own
emotions, get to know your
“inner self ”. Don’t let others
define you. For instance, if you
are shy and your inner Diva is
screaming to get out, then become
Miss Diva this summer, the way
that you imagine that she should
be. If you have an inner dancer,
singer, model, musician, poet or
whatever, let it out, out, out this
summer for sure and you will be
oh so glad you did! (Of course
you will keep it respectable).
Mentally - Our relationship
section ask the questions, “Are
you really into him or are you
just pleasing the crowd?”
Emotionally – Our hair and
beauty sections challenge you to
be as bold and beautiful as you
can be and without apology!
Ladies, with all that being said,
it is now time to sit back and
relax and thumb slowly through
the pages, of Miss Sis Magazine,
we know that you will thoroughly
enjoy this issue!
Much love,
And if you need a little help
taking your inventory, not to
worry, we got your back! We
have some awesome articles that
will help you to take stock!
Physically – Our health section
takes you on a tour of Keloids,
something to think about as you
are getting all “pierced up”.
