Hunts are conducted in the deserts of southern Utah . These hunts are conducted using a combination of horses , Toyota trucks , and Utv transportation . If client prefers , this hunt can be conducted entirely off horse back . This allows outfitter to focus on some of the more remote Areas . Cats are most active in the spring time which typically gives us an action packed hunt . The layout of this desert country lets outfitters see a lot more dog work than when hunting higher elevations earlier in the winter . This makes it ideal for someone who has interest in seeing and learning more about the dog aspect of lion hunting .
