PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE PETER E. HOLLANDER, R.S. Area of Expertise Peter Hollander is Senior Vice President of Criterium Engineers. He has been with the company since 1989. In that time, he has filled many roles. Currently, he is responsible for recruitment, office development and training, systems development, IT and web sites, and national accounts. The primary focus of his career has been the management of technical consulting practices. Experience and Qualifications Since joining Criterium Engineers, Mr. Hollander has doubled the number of Criterium offices and contributed to increasing their volume eight-fold. He has forged client relationships with several major financial institutions and insurance companies before forming the national accounts group in 1996 to take advantage of the special and strategic benefits Criterium Engineers can offer its clients. He created and leads the training of engineers in the organization and has coordinated over 75 week-long training seminars for Criterium engineers. He is also responsible for content development at Criterium Engineers annual conference. Other accomplishments have included the development and maintenance of contracts and the creation and promulgation of systems and standards within the company. Mr. Hollander has also been responsible for promotion of the company, having placed feature articles in Engineering News-Record and Engineering Times. He has written articles for various publications on capital reserve studies, worked directly with the accounting firm of KPMG to develop Criterium Engineer’s proprietary reserve study analysis program, and assists Criterium offices with several dozen detailed reserve studies each year. He has led assignments under various HUD programs including Mark to Market, Green Retrofit, MAP and RAD. Prior to joining Criterium Engineers, Mr. Hollander was president of Cornerstones Energy Group. The company developed software for energy analysis and HVAC design, produced electronic catalogs for building product manufacturers, consulted with several major utility companies, and provided training to builders and energy auditors. Mr. Hollander has also been a senior consultant in the Energy and Environment Division of Booz Allen and Hamilton in Washington, DC, and Group Manager of the Buildings Consulting Group at the Franklin Institute Research Center in Philadelphia. Education, Certifications and Affiliations Mr. Hollander received his BA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has delivered hundreds of seminars on building systems and technology over the years. He has been a member of ASTM since the late 70s and is also a member of the Community Associations Institute from which he earned the Reserve Specialist (RS) designation, and has completed HUD/MAP certification.
