In this beautiful anthology, wanted by Misa Aihara as a ledger that
reckon with the past to be able to plan and look to the future, there
are no characters, there is not even the artist.
The paintings, the works of art by Misa Aihara, are the characters of
this beautiful book, which is being written on its own. Each charac-
ter will dialogue with the observers (with the spectators) in the only
language that Misa Aihara knows and her characters possess: the
language of the heart and the soul.
Her paintings will speak directly to the minds of spectators and fans.
Misa Aihara knows very well that the colors (like the flowers) have
different meanings in the various cultures of the world and on the
various occasions in which they are shown, but she risks willingly
and she wants to talk with everyone.
In this way any person, who comes from the five continents in
which the earth is divided, must not try to understand Misa’s works
of art with his mind, but he must try to perceive them in the depths
of his soul and his heart.
I am sure that all those who do not know Japan and its great artistic
and historical past will struggle to understand Misa’s work, because
behind them there is no knowledge of the art of writing in Japan or
of drawing and study of the form, which for centuries has guided the
search for colors in the great painters of the Rising Sun.
