In addition to sharing her message and knowledge of healthy living , Bonnie also volunteers at Beaufort Memorial Hospital as a patient advocate , checking on patients and seeing if they need anything . “ Hopefully , it lightens the load on the nursing staff ,” she says .
She definitely is involved in the lifestyle of fun , food , music and friends at Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head . She enjoys the Paradise Pool and indoor pool , FinsUp ! Fitness Center and Bar & Chill and is an avid pickleball and FinsBall player . She also serves on the community ’ s Oktoberfest board . “ I ’ ve made more friends here in six months than in the last 10 years ! Bonnie is especially touched by how Latitude Margaritaville residents help one another . She recently hurt her back and called her neighbor for help . They came over immediately to help and one neighbor even spent the night to make sure she would be okay .
She had a similar experience when her sister , Becky , moved to the community . “ I was on a trip when she moved in , and a bunch of good neighbors helped her move her things in . The people , the community , the friendships are the most important . The things we do for fun are added on top of that . It ’ s a ready-made community here .”
